The use of nickel-titanium rotary instruments is presented in general terms only. As discussed earlier, there is a rapid development of these instruments, and the instructions and guidance of the manufacturers of the specific instruments chosen by the clinician should always be adhered to. It is strongly recommended that appropriate hands-on training is undertaken, practising the technique on a large number of extracted teeth before taking the new procedures to a patient.
